Item arrived pretty fast from across the country. The product seems very durable and worth it for the upgraded speakers. USPS sadly broke an ear off the brakes in shipping but I contacted Boxy Jeep on FB and they responded very fast and shipped me a new one out next day. I highly recommend them.
Excellent….
This was such an easy install. The brackets have plenty of meat to them so if necessary you can sand some material away if you have a bigger chassis on your speaker. The bolt holes lined up perfectly to the cab.
These have enough material on the inner diameter to shave as needed to set the proper relief for the back of a 6.5” speaker. Since there’s some variation among different speaker manufacturers, this is a plus. So be prepared to shave a little as needed to get a flush fit. Also, I opted to drill a 1/4” hole in each bracket to match the factory 4x6 brackets to allow for attaching the speaker harness pegs. A very shallow baffle behind the speaker is recommended to keep cab corner air and moisture away from the speaker. Cab corner trim just cleared on my MJ. Night and day difference from the 4x6s I was running before. I’m running cheap Sony 6.5s back there, only thing better would be room for 6x9s!
