If you have a 1984-1990 Jeep Cherokee XJ or Comanche MJ, you've likely dealt with the problematic fusible link power system. This kit allows you to create your own improved system and eliminate the fusible links, and bolts to our 97+ HO open cooling system reservoir bracket kit (available here).
This is a DIY kit and will require experience with wiring and electrical systems at your own risk. You will also need to drill holes for any components you mount. It does not include electrical components, but we have some suggestions linked below:
- Blue Sea Systems Fuse Block (AMRB-5029) - 12 Circuit
- 12V Waterproof Battery Switch
- Ground Block - 1/4" Stud & 12x #8 Terminals
- 250 Amp Mega Inline Fuse (can also do 150 amp)
- Terminal Connector Assortment
- Misc cables depending on your setup
Constructed of 16 gauge stainless steel. No painting required.

My brain hurts
The parts are beautifully made and were shipped quickly. Have not had a chance to install them yet, still waiting for the radiator from Summit Racing. Can't wait to see how they look.
I like ordering parts from BoxyJeep. Excellent quality, packaged well, and fast shipping. Can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can clean up the rats nest wiring in the PDC, if it can be called that in a Renix.
