Installation Instructions

Peel-and-Stick Decals

Most of our decals are simple peel-and-stick and can be easily applied to a clean surface.

  1. Wash hands prior to installation to prevent dust or dirt from transferring to the adhesive.
  2. Thoroughly remove any preexisting adhesive material and ensure the surface is clean and smooth.
  3. Wipe area with alcohol to prepare the surface prior to installation.
    1. Do not use brake cleaner or any solvents other than alcohol!
  4. Carefully remove the paper backing from the label and apply.

Vinyl Transfer Decals (Two-Part)

Some of our decals that apply to exterior are vinyl transfer decals.  The design is die-cut from a single piece of vinyl.

  1. Wash hands prior to installation to prevent dust or dirt from transferring to the adhesive.
  2. Clean the area with alcohol to prepare the surface prior to installation.  Do not use Windex or soaps as they contain contaminates.
  3. Carefully peel off the paper backing and install the decal.
    1. DO NOT attempt to peel the front from the backing.  You must peel the white paper backing off of the front (like this).
    2. If it is difficult to remove, leave in the sun for 30 minutes with the back facing upward.
  4. Optional--Use Rapid-Tac Decal Installation Spray on the surface of your vehicle to allow for alignment adjustments and smooth squeegeeing.
    1. DO NOT spray this on the decal paper backing.
  5. Use a squeegee to push out any air pockets.
  6. Allow at least 60 minutes to dry before removing the clear alignment tape.
  7. Allow 24 hours to fully dry.
